Piet Boon Volumes vase XL

For the new collection of five vases, Studio Piet Boon played with the different thicknesses and heights they continually encountered in commercial vases. By experimenting with these, volumes of varying heights emerged at the top. These volumes serve an important function: they keep flowers or plants in place. For the earthy color palette of VASE, Boon drew inspiration from paintings by the Italian artist Giorgio Morandi. "As with the BASE dinnerware, the idea is to mix and match different sizes and colors," says Boon.

The pots are intended as decorative pots and do not have an opening at the bottom for drainage. Therefore, we recommend not planting directly into the pot, but placing the plant in a plastic pot + saucer or using a plastic liner on the inside. If the plant is planted directly into the pot, cracks may appear.
