FRISO

BY DOMINGOS TOTORA

The Friso line consists of wall panels made from recycled cardboard pulp mixed with earth and water. They are designed and manufactured in Maria da Fé, Brazil, in the studio of renowned designer Domingos Tótora. The flowing lines represent the rolling hills, waterways, and coffee fields of Maria da Fé. The relief of the lines interacts with light, mimicking the way sunlight moves across fields and hills, creating an enchanting play of light and shadow. The earth in the area around Studio Domingos Tótora is brown and red, a natural element also reflected in the colours of the Placa and Disques Friso. Tótora’s works are hand-sculpted, making each piece unique.
